75 degrees, sunny, maybe a 5 mph breeze.
Fairways were a bit soft. Greens bumpy from aeration a week or so in the past. Pretty quick speeds.
I just scuffed it around for 9-11 holes and then made a few. good shots. We started a bit after 1:30pm and it was slow. Eventually there was a 5-some in front of us and they took forever on the green. It was pretty dark on #17 and by the 2nd shot on #18 (par 5) all one could see was the ball, no depth perception on the turf, club position, etc... Hit a drive in the fairway, laid up to 100 yards and then picked up as I couldn't really see much and scoring would have been tricky.
The perfect weather actually was bad news as it brought out all the fair weather players. For example, SkyGolf shows Wilgo4c2c played at Salem Hills, too. His last round dates back to September. He obviously put the clubs away and then dragged them out today to clog up the course for me while shooting 116. ;)
