It had been a few years since I last played Firestone but I was not disappointed. I consider myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to play one or two tour venues each year and this one is one of my favorites.

The South Course is incredible, hitting fairways a must. Hit into rough and no chance to get it to green. Course was wet but greens ran so smooth and by Tuesday they were running 12 or so. North course is friendlier but still a challenge with the 16,17,18 giving such great views. A definite MUST play if in area!

We played 18 on the South Course and it was absolutely the most incredible golf course I've ever played. I liked it better than Oakmont bot for entirely different reasons. Mature track that penalizes you for every shot not put in the right scoring position. Fair golf course that will reward you for hitting the right shot.
We also played 9 holes on the North course (back nine) which was also incredible and so different from the South. Looking forward to playing the West course and taking another shot at the South course again.
