Hot and humid. 95ish. Not fun. Not really in the mood to play. Back has been really uncomfortable. Something's not right, since Saturday.
Though I scored okay, I did not feel like I hit the ball with authority, particularly off the tee. Hit lots of fairways, but felt like my distance was not as good as it has been. Wondering how much the heavy air was affecting distance. With the exception of a few well struck iron shots, I felt all clubs were short all day, not just driver. Came up short repeatedly on shots I hit well. Hoping it was the heat and humidity and not something I was doing.
Got up and down a bunch today, including a sandy on 14 from left greenside bunker to 4 feet.
Blue tees on 7th were back coupled with the black tees again for some unknown reason. Hit a good drive, but still needed 5i to get home. Blind shot. Hit a good one, pin high.
Worst shot of the day came on 9th after 2nd shot layup left me 125 out in left rough. Did not get down to the ball deep enough and topped it into the hazard. Penalty. Drop. Full LW over hazard came up short of green. Pitch to 6 feet and made putt for double. Would have been a very good front otherwise, though didn't feel sharp. Frustrating.
