First time out in 12 days. 45 degrees. Sopping wet course. All tees closed down except white tees. I guess they are trying to get all the tee boxes back in good shape before the season Wasn't expecting much. Surprisingly, hit the ball fairly well, but since I was just out there to practice, I hit multiple balls. On the front nine only kept score of the first ball off the tee. However, on the back, played multiple balls on a few holes---sometimes one, two or three. On the holes I played more than one, I played best ball. I only played 1 ball on 10, 11, 15, 16, 17. I actually parred them all. On the other 4 holes, I played a drive. If I wanted to try another drive, I hit another one and then played both balls, carding the better of the two scores. Sometimes I would hit a fine drive, but then not like my approach shot, so would drop another, then play both approaches in and card the better of the two scores. Hence the even par back. Even so, wouldn't have been much worse. Considering how wet and soft everything was, I played well.
Both hips started to act up a bit, but not enough to affect swing. The right hip was a surprise. Wasn't expecting that one to be a problem, but with two days solid working in the shop on the hard floor, on my feet all day, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Arthritis. Sucks getting old. (Assuming that's what it is.)
