42 degrees, mostly cloudy. Walked/Pushed my staff bag. Too lazy to move everything to stand bag. Did not go to range beforehand. Started on 10th. Figured I'd just hit three drives off the tee to try and find my swing, take the best one and go from there. All three were draws. The third went the furthest, so played that as my opening drive. I was warmed up.
Continue to hit the ball with authority. Very satisfied. Still playing the blue tees in 42 degree temps. Surprising even myself. Had only 50* wedge approaches on 10 and 11. Distance off tee is fine. Birdied 11 with a 25 foot bomb. Could see it all the way.
Topped a 3w on 13, with the ball below my feet in the left rough, my only truly poor shot of the round. Moved it maybe 20 yards forward. Then hit a less than great shot off the backside of a mogul way too high and not real far, leaving me still 150 out. Then hit 7i onto green, but didn't hold. Rolled two feet into rough off back. Chipped to 1 foot to save a bogey. The 13th was the only poorly played hole, but grinding out the bogey was satisfying and positive.
I was playing and scoring well, so considered continuing on to the front nine, but didn't want to push it. Hips were getting a bit sore. Maybe if I had the stand bag, but that damn staff bag is freakin' heavy. Even on my 3 wheeled push cart.
