One last round before FL trip. 55 degrees and windy. Over 20 mph at times. Played the blues downwind and the whites upwind.
Driver was okay. Irons too. Had a couple not great shots, but only one that was really poor, a topped 3W on 18th. However, hit 3W again for my 3rd and hit it well, ending up just off the green on the right. Should have parred it, but missed a 5 footer to save.
Another birdie on 13, my 3rd on that hole in a week. But this one was somewhat lucky after hitting green in regulation, but going well past pin. Probably 50 feet past. Sunk the bomb, which had to travel over two ridges, one breaking it left, the other breaking it right. Went in dead center, with perfect speed. Just shook my head in disbelief.
New AP3s continue to yield good distance. Thinking about adding one or two more next season.
