Hot & humid. 90s at tee off. Played with Bill L. and Will. We played whites for Bill. Didn't have a great driver today, but playing from the whites helped. Hit lots of greens with the shorter distance from the whites. Reached tough par 4 3rd in regulation, then proceeded to 3 putt for bogey.
Nice birdie on par 5 5th after 21* hybrid 2nd shot from behind tree to 5 feet short of green. Chipped to 2 feet.
On par 3 6th, hit 7i a touch out on the toe right at pin, but I knew the second I hit it that it was going to be short. Right into the pot bunker. Made bunker shot to 1 foot to save par.
Will had played earlier this morning and was worn out due to the heat, so quit after nine. Enjoyed playing with Bill, finally. It only took 2 years to get him to play with me.
After playing the blue tees so much lately, playing from the whites for the first time in weeks felt like cheating.
