They sent us off on the back first today. Played it fairly well. Then on the front, the pace slowed down to a crawl and my game suffered. Went back and played 4 holes instead of waiting for the log jamb in front of me, since it was clear behind.
Had a penalty on 5th after waiting for 10 minutes to hit my second shot. Pulled it well left into the red-staked area. Got it together for the last 4 holes but the damage was already done. On par 5 9th hit my drive of the week. Thought about going for it, but laid up instead with a PW. Then a SW in from the rough, which did not roll back down the green as planned. Got stuck in the fringe. Made a near perfect putt, which tracked all the way back down to the hole and caught the lip, but stayed out somehow. Birdie to end that nine would have taken some of the sting out of the long wait to finish. After finishing up the first 18, plus 4 extra holes for a total of 22, I then played another nine from the blue tees. 31 holes today. Shoulders sore.
