Played with Will, Joey and big-hitting Eric. Had a good round. Struck driver and irons well for the most part. Putting getting better. I guess the greens are getting more consistent. They were quite wet when we started. Light mist through the first few holes. Will was getting frustrated. I was kicking his ass and he kept trying to outdrive me and getting in trouble. It's pissing him off that the one thing he had over me before, he no longer has. Distance off the tee. When I have the driver working I am winning that race now too. Kinda satisfying.
Was even par on the back through the first 5 holes after parring 9th as well. My head was really in it today. Pulled my 8i a bit right off the tee on 15 which ended in first bogey, then bogeyed 16 and 17 too, before sinking an 8-footer on 18th for birdie.
Had no real bad shots today, but rough was still extremely long and thick, making great shots out of it nearly impossible. Very happy with today's play overall. Felt good to break 80 again. Been over a month since the last time, and that was before the rough grew in so thick.
