75 and sunny with 15-20 mph breeze. Started on the back nine. Hit the ball well off the tee, once I found my driver swing on 13th. Hit irons well. Putting much better overall. Greens are getting nicer.
Had 4 penalties on the front, three of which resulted in double. Went well left off the tee on 3rd into lateral hazard. Hit it far though. Drop, then weak 3W out of rough. Yanked a PW. Ended in double.
On 6th hit 6i way too long with way too much draw and wind further pushing it left, into water hazard, 15-20 yards past green. Penalty drop, pitch to just off green past pin (using wrong wedge--too lazy to go back and get 58*, which would have been the correct play), then chipped to 3 feet and sunk for double.
Then on par 3 8th, yanked another 6i draw so far left it was in the middle of a group playing the 5th green. Reloaded and hit a weak 6 iron short of run up to green. Pitched to 3 feet and made the putt.
Last penalty came on 9th (final hole). Hit a great drive and was only 195 out. In fairway, but a slightly downhill lie. Decided to go for it. Due to the lie, I missed it a little and didn't clear the water hazard completely. Dropped behind the hazard, hit a 58* to 6 feet and saved par.
