Played with Will. Better play than yesterday, particularly with driver, but did not score much different. Hit a few more greens and felt more confident with swing today. 3 3-putts hurt. Still having some trouble on the greens. They are rolling faster, but not yet rolling true on some of them.
Nice bird on 9 and another on 11. Had a chance for a good back nine after starting par on 10th and birdie on 11th. Then on 12 hit a great 3W off the tee and hit what I thought would be a perfect 5i right at the pin. But, it came up a yard or two short of making it to the green, hitting just above the grass bunker and falling back into it. Had no green to work with, so decided to flop it. Tricky, with no green and didn't throw it up high enough as I went too far underneath it, leaving it still in the grass bunker. To make sure I got it out on the next one, I hit it well past the pin and two-putted for double. When I hit the second shot/5i, while it was in the air headed straight for the pin I was thinking I would be putting for birdie. Instead, I walk away with double, which was backed up with another on par 5 13th after decent drive and 2nd shot left me 65 yards out with an easy 3/4 58* wedge in. I guess I tried to take too much off and somehow shanked it into right rough with a deep thick lie. Chip didn't make it out. 5 to get on, plus two putts. Then proceeded to 3-putt after GIR on 14. Rough 3 holes.
Left shoulder quite sore. Iced both. Weather not looking good for a few days. May play tomorrow if rain isn't too hard. Only temps in the 50s forecasted.
