Temps only in the 60s. Wind howling again. Made things quite difficult. Didn't hit many greens as a result. And, flew over the green on a few occasions thinking I needed more club with the strong wind. On 6th I was 20 yards over and bounced down into water hazard. Fished it out, dropped, flopped to about 15 feet from a steep downhill lie with the ball well below my feet and made the long putt to save bogey.
Overall drove the ball well in the wind. Played with a nice guy, Tom, who was a good player. He outdrove me on the first hole by 30 yards and I assumed he was gonna continue to blow by me all day. But I got my driver working better after the next hole and by the end of the day I would say he outdrove me 1 more time than I outdrove him. So I was satisfied with that.
Putting was really being affected by the wind, along with the greens which are not totally healed yet. It's taking forever.
Decent day. Decent score in 20 mph+ winds, which somehow never seemed to be blowing in the right direction.
