Started out cool, 60s, but sun came out and it got up near 80. Played with Gene. He got frustrated with his game after 9 and quit. I played well off the tee and all else except putting. Speed was off. Should have made a bunch more putts today. Need to spend some time practicing on actual greens on the course instead of the practice green which was not punched.
Hit a fair amount of GIRs. Hit every fairway out front. The ones I missed on the back were not bad at all. Had better rhythm today. Felt good about iron game. My touch on chipping has been a bit off. Need to spend a few hours around our greens too. Maybe Sunday late.
Big AJGA event this weekend. Course has been set up tough. Rough thick. Greens were rolled last night. Still another week of healing needed, but much better than even a few days ago. I was long on putts I would have been short on last week. Many birdie ops, but flew by the hole on most.
Playing tomorrow right before AJGA Practice Round shotgun. Course should be playing tough.
