Played with Will and his buddies. Though left shoulder is killing me, played through it pretty well. Now right one hurts too. Icing both.
Drove the ball well. Distance not great, but not bad in these cold temps and soft fairways. Hit nearly every fairway today. On 11th, rolled off slightly to the left, only 30 yards from pin. Tees were up again which left me an in between shot over the bunker. Hit it too easy and came up short of green. Chipped it to 5 feet and made the putt. So no harm missing the fairway.
Missed at least 3 or 4 birdie putts by inches.
We started on 10th again, to avoid the crowd. I like starting on the back. It's easier on the mind compared to starting on the front. 10 and 11 are nowhere near as tough as 1 and 2. Played 12 well today too. Had a 10' chance to save par, but settled for bogey. Bogey is acceptable on 12 most days.
Good drive on 14 left me with 50 yards to pin. Hit a partial 58* wedge to 8 feet short. Lipped out the birdie putt. On 15 hit 9i off the tee to 5 feet and missed the bird. And on 6 hit 6i off tee to 5 feet as well, and missed the putt for bird.
Played a Titleist DT TruSoft for first half of the round, but it was finally getting beaten up, since I have played that same Trusoft for the last 5 or 6 rounds. Switched to a ProV1 for the rest of the round. Have not lost a single ball since somewhere around late Oct/early Nov.
