Played wit Patrick, Matt and Jackson. Brother-in-law, dad and son, respectively, from Baltimore area. Nice group. Son was on the high school golf team and dad coaches it.
Played well. Actually had some really good strong 240+ drives today, though not enough of them.
Had some trouble on the front, but not really any of it due to poor play. Just a couple bad bounces and offline or slightly short approaches. And a 3 putt GIR on 2nd. Then the wind and rain came in hard for the last 3 holes on the front and I went bogey, bogey, bogey, even with the longest drive of the group on 9. Hit a good 7iron layup, but had a crappy lie and didn't make green with wedge shot.
On 10th I only had 60 yards to the pin after a great drive. Outdrove everyone on both 9 and 10 and we all hit great drives off both tees.
Biggest disappointment and worst shot of day came on a poor chip on 18th after hitting green, but rolling off. Partial chunk of chip only got me 1/2 way to hole and resulted in bogey. Still managed to pull out a 39 on back. Birdied 14th again. Had 80-yard approach and 6 foot 1-putt.
