Warm. 85*. Played with Will. Gordy and Bill joined us.
Driver still giving me major distance problems. Hit one good drive all day. A few sucky ones and mostly just okay drives. No distance, put pressure on game, but rest of game was not bad. Even when I had the shortest drive in the group, I scored as well or better than the rest of the group most of the time. Will was hitting the ball as well as I have ever seen him hit it off the tee, but I think he was getting pissed that I was scoring better with such a weak-ass drive.
Birds on 9th and 15th. Chipped in on 15th from 1 foot off green in the rough with 58*. Made GIR par from fairway bunker on 10th. 7i over water to back pin. Also made up and down par from fairway bunker on 14th. 2 GIR and 3-putts on par 3 8th and par 3 17th. Grrrr.
Bill was a scratch golfer before a major car accident a couple years ago. He had a real bad limp and some missing muscles in his hip flexors (sp) as a result. He blew the ball by all of us even so. Well by. Awesome power for a guy in his condition. Amazing to watch.
Shoulders were in bad shape to start. Wore a Lidocane patch on left one. Icing both now. This is getting old.
Need to work with Dave on driver issues.
(Edit: 3-putt on 18, not 2 putt as originally spec'ed. Forgot first putt which was from all the way in front to very back pin. Over 90 feet. Was thinking it was a chip, but it was a putt. Though it isn't a good GIR, a GIR just the same, which helps keep GIR average up.)
