Played with my buddy Keith from Oxford Greens. Rain for the first nine. Not bad otherwise.
Driver continues to suck. Irons fine. Best iron of the day was a 185 yard 5i from the rough on 14 after a weak drive, dead on target, but rolled 10 yards past pin. Should just start hitting 5i off tee. Though, also hit a 225 yard uphill 3W today, from the rough. Better than any of my weak-ass drives lately.
Another weak drive on 18 resulted in having 175 uphill to pin for 3rd shot approach. Hit great hybrid to about 6 feet and made the birdie putt.
If I could figure out why my rhythm is so freakin' far off with my driver right now, I would really enjoy this game. It's putting a lot of pressure on my game right now. My swing (and ballstriking) is just fine with every other club.
One poor chip on 14th, typically my best hole. Pulled approach up on hill to left of the green. Grabbed 50* instead of 58* by accident and didn't realize it until I hit the chip cleanly and it didn't react as it should have. Blew it over the green from the steep downhill lie right of green. Total surprise to me. Went to put the club back in the 58 slot of my bag and realized the 58 was already in it. Dumb mistake.
