Sunny and warm. Got stuck behind an outing. After the front nine, decided to go home and come back later to play the 2nd nine. Played/scored better once I got back. Outing was slowing everything down. All women, some taking 5 and 6 shots to reach the green, then lining up putts like they were pros....and taking 3 and 4 putts on nearly every hole. Frustrating to watch...and wait behind.
Played a few rounds since my last entry, but did not record them, as I was really more practicing some new stuff rather than keeping scores. Still trying to find a good workable driver swing. Had something working today. Will see if that continues. Hit irons pretty well. Much more consistent lately. Putting still an issue. Sometimes it feels right, sometimes it feels so far off it wouldn't matter if I hit every green. My score would still be in the mid 80s! Today was somewhere in between.
Went back and played a few more holes before dark from the blue tees. Pars and bogeys. Same as the white tees. Hit a 280 yard drive from the whites on 16 (downhill), and only had a SW in from there. Then went back and hit another 270 yard drive from the blues after the round, but had 5 iron in. Both of those drives felt great. There were a few more real good ones, but those two stick out in my mind. Both very satisfying.
Lovin' my new SM6s. Continually making some great shots with them. And the 58 full-soled K-grind has been the best wedge from greenside bunkers I have ever played.
