Cold and windy. Wasn't going to play. Just went up to the course to practice. But, since I was sick all week, and have to go to CT all next week, wanted to get in a few holes in spite of the 2-3 club wind and ice cold temps. Felt like 20s with the wind chill, but it was in the 40s.
Played the back nine one time through, but then played a bunch more holes to get in more practice. On many holes I was was playing all sorts of shots whenever I could find a hole with no one on it. Tried many approach shots from the same location using two different club options for the shot, hit various chips and pitches with different wedges from all sorts of lies on some holes, while others I played one ball only. It really wasn't a round, but more of a practice session out on the course. Even so, I did make two true sandys on 10, one on the first time playing it, the second on the next time playing it. Starting to really like that 58.12 K grind from the sand.
Played the 9th since no one was on 8 green and parred it. Parred 10 two times. Parred 11 twice. Tripled 12 the first time around, but doubled it the next time. Wind killed approach both times. Parred 13 twice.
Soon, the course will be packed full daily and I won't get the opportunity to go out and practice on it like this, so I'm glad I got in what I did today. CT next week. Hopefully I'll get a round in there.
