Cold. High 30s. Thankfully, little wind. Place was empty due to the temps and the fact that it snowed yesterday (though not much stuck).
Played very well, considering how cold it was. Driver was great all round with the exception of limited distance in the cold. Irons good, chipping good. Putter, so so. Greens still healing from heavy aeration, so not too concerned with putting yet. Had 3 or 4 birdie putts under 15 feet, but only made one and it was from 4 feet on 17th. Hit 6 iron off tee. Was playing 160. Rolled within a foot of hole and stopped 4 feet past.
Hit 9 greens in regulation, but could have been 12 or 13. Was hitting irons longer than expected in these conditions. On 2nd, hit 5 iron from 160 out expecting the cold to deaden it by 10 yards, and ended up 15 yards past pin and off green. On 8th, hit 5 iron off the tee and landed on green, but bounced off the back. On 9th, had easy 9 iron to reach in regulation. Hit it on line, but had to go over tree just right of cart path before hazard. Caught a branch at the top which knocked it down in front of hazard. Felt like it would have been perfect. Oh well.
Right shoulder giving me some issues. May have overdone things earlier in the week when I hit about 200 balls on the range. Both shoulders sore since, but right one bothered me during the round. Didn't seem to affect me too much, but heavy ice on it now, with 3 Advil.
