35 Degrees, Sunny, no wind. Perfect.
Started on #10
The course was still saturated with melted snow & rain. Fuzzy greens extremely slow and bumpy.
As I drove to the course, I was fully expecting them to be closed since there was still heavy frost in shaded areas. Nope. As I approached I could see carts driving and golfers hacking. The place was a zoo. The guy in the shop told the guys in front of me to start on #1. After I paid, I noted a single walking off #10 green and no one making the turn. I figured the guy in the clubhouse was too busy to notice me teeing off on #10 so away I went. Clear sailing and when I got to #1, no one was starting their rounds that late in the day. Woo hoo! Made it to #5 before running into a 5-some. Joined another walking single for the final 4 holes. Painfully slow finish but we were outside swinging golf clubs.
I can't believe they were allowing carts. The place is wet even in the summer and now it is a quagmire. I could see some of the guys spinning their tires in the wet spots. Ugh!
