55 degrees, sunny, maybe a 5+ mph breeze. Very nice.
Fairways were soft but allowed some roll. Greens soft and a bit bumpy. A bit slow.
Did nothing well or too poorly. Just kind of "meh".
We joined a 2-some and this kid (28 years old), Ben Raymond, could really hit it. 373 yard par 4, he hit it into the greenside bunker. Of course he got it up & down for birdie. He was not wild and when he did get into a spot of bother, he was so close to the green that getting out of jail was not that hard.
We had a bit of excitement on #12. I hit a nice drawing iron which was tracking at the hole. It hit and rolled out a bit and we could visibly see it smack dead center into the flag stick. I think the flag stick kept it on the green (back pin position) but it was sort of fun watching the shot unfold.
