First "Major" of the season. Ann Arbor City Championship.
Heavy rain preceded the event. Start pushed back 1.5 hours.
Cloudy, very humid and maybe 80. Wind was 10+ mph - at least a club.
Everything turned on the 8th & 9th hole. I had an 8 footer for birdie on #8 that was in the holed and then lipped out. Sigh. Then on 9 I had a 4 footer for par and three putted.
Really disappointed and it festered until #11 where I went into double digits. After that it was an all out effort to improve my attitude and keep it under 90.
I was originally scheduled to be in a twosome with "JT". Thank God they found someone to make a three (all groups are three). JT's first tournament. Clueless about the Rules. I spend about an hour looking for his various wayward shots. He wore me out.
So there is tomorrow. Another round with JT. Sigh. Maybe I can pull my poop together.
