Paul & Ben. Quite cool with cold breeze. Started with jacket and vest. Jacket off, but still vest for back nine.
Despite hitting a good number of fairways and being playable off the tee on virtually every hole, my driver was my weak point today. Just couldn't seem to find any magic. Many drives were popped up into the wind leaving me with unrealistic, though still possible distances to reach the green. Just wasn't hitting driver real well. I did have a few good ones though.
Triple on 4th after a short skyed drive leaving me 225 to the hole. Hit a 4 wood on the screws, but with the ball above my feet drew it into left lateral and had to take penalty/drop. Then hit my wedge approach thin and over the green.
Nothing special today.

CeeBee says:Take a look at Musket Ridge and Maryland National. Both are fine public courses with memberships. Myersville area above Frederick. Neither seem to be crowded. Played Musket several times last week. Tough layout from any tee. Membership about three grand.
Whiskey and Worthington are a challenge but pricey. Both get a lot of play.

DougEly says:We just had a deal on a place in Mt. Airy fall through. Went to contract, but inspection turned up too much major stuff. Expect I'll be in MD a number of times this summer trying out courses to consider for membership. Hoping we can find something in the Ijamsville area, as Worthington Manor is on my short list. Whiskey Creek is up there too, but they don't offer memberships as far as I know.
