Snuck out for a quick 9 later i the afternoon. Place was still packed. Temps in the 60s and very breezy again. Played fairly well again today. Putter still working well, though the putt numbers don't show it this round. Great 5W approach from 185 out dead straight at the pin, onto green but rolled about 10 below the pin. Just missed the birdie putt. Had a pop up on the 2nd tee with my 3W, with the wind blowing hard into my face. Barely reached the fairway. Behind the 8-ball on that hole with the hard wind in my face. Took me four to get there with the hard wind blowing. 2nd shot 5w got too high in the air and the wind just pushed it right, into some crap. Had to punch out 90 degrees to get out from behind stone wall. Then hit 52 wedge longer than I expected in the wind, over the green. Thankfully made good chip to a couple feet and 1-putted to save double. That was the worst hole of the round. Just missed an up and down by an inch or so on 3, then made a nice up and down for par on 4. Hit a nice 250 yard drive dead center fairway on 5. Parred the super-difficult 6th and the 8th and 9th as well.
Another good day out there. Looks like all the courses around here are planning to officially open either this weekend or next week. I'm psyched.
