Keith, Ben, Richie. Cold and windy. 2-club wind at times. Course played very long, particularly with wet fairways and greens on top of the cold and wind. I miss summer already.
Hit driver pretty well all day, after starting off going left the first few holes. Had a couple miscues, but overall, considering the tough playing conditions, kept it together pretty well. Big mistake on 2nd. After watching Ben come up way short with a 3 wood off the tee into a stiff wind, I thought I might try an easy driver. Never try to hold back with a driver. Pulled it high and into the water. Penalty drop, short 60 degree wedge on, but way short. Had a 60 foot putt to save bogey and blew it by about 7 feet. Luckily saved double by sinking the come-backer. On 8th, hit a good drive and a good 3H 2nd shot which ended up just off the fairway about 85 yards out. Figured a 56* wedge would be perfect, particularly due to the fact that was sitting down a bit and the rough was thick. I was surprised when I bladed it over the green. That hurt.
Leaves were pretty bad. Finding balls was difficult, sometimes even in the fairway.
