Keith, Ben and Richie. Nice day. Conditions were quite soft from all the rain yesterday. Consequently, course played much longer. Went up a club for most shots over 125 yards. Very little roll on most shots. Played well for the most part. Took a few holes to get used to the soft conditions. Fatted a 5W on 3, then a 3H on 4th. After that, I figured it out. Driver was right on again. One piece takeaway doing the trick. Nothing lost to the right. Only got in trouble with driver on 11 when, in the middle of my swing, thought that I might be aiming too far right, so purposely tried to steer it left on the downswing. I steered it too far left, into the left hazard. Penalty. Drop outside hazard and saved bogey with 7 iron on. Also, over-compensated on 15 with tees over on right side. Hit it way left into lateral. Another penalty and drop in designated drop circle. This mistake resulted in double. Otherwise, driver was very good all day. Good, solid drives everywhere else. Nice sand save on 14 to 3 feet. Good bird---second of day---on 17th. Hit 52* approach from 98 yards out to 5'. Another great drive on 18, though this time right side of pot bunker, to 140 out from back of tee box. Probably about 260 yds. Unfortunately, approach shot leaked, just a little, but enough to land in rightside bunker, pin high. Good out, but the ball had no spin and rolled through the green and into the rough on other side. However, was able to chip back to 1 foot and save bogey. Satisfactory round.
