Played with Ben. Put new swing change I've been working on for irons and hybrids into play today. Definitely made a positive difference. Iron play was markedly improved. Driver was pretty good again. Started very well again. Was 1 over after 7 holes. Began to feel discomfort from hernia by the back nine and game started to go south. Hung in there though. Driver only got me in trouble once, on 10, with draw/hook into hazard. Penalty resulted in double. Tried 4W from fairway on 8th since I was swinging so well, but should have stuck with what I usually play, my 3H. Hit two pretty poor 4Ws which contributed to the first double of the day. First was thin and second was a high pull into fescue up near green. Had to hack out. Then was short. One of only a couple not so great chips. For the most part, chipping was excellent again. Made a bunch of really nice up and downs. Hit a flop on 9 from up high on the right side of the green, over the bunker, to 4 feet to save par. 15 was another bad hole. Ended up in fairway bunker after hybrid off the tee. Should have tried to lay up, but stupidly chose to hit five iron because I was hitting it so well out of practice bunker last night. Didn't get it all and ended up in hazard. Penalty. All in all though, a decent round, with a 39 on front which included a double.
