Cool, high 50s. Little breeze. Played with Ben. Driver issues again. Lots of left. Snap hooked a couple drives and a couple 3Hs. Started on first with a great drive, then a 9i approach to 9 feet. Missed bird putt, but by only an inch or so. Bad 5i way right off 2nd tee. Thinned 60* out of poor lie well past hole. The third was my downfall. Lucky kick off right hill back into fairway, but then proceeded to duck hook a 3H into unplayable position. Penalty/drop. Then duck hooked another 3H, into another unplayable lie. Penalty/drop again. Things got a bit better after that, but tempo and rhythm were off more than on. Fighting a muscle pull in groin and it has really affected my swing over the last few weeks. Was really uncomfortable by back nine. Best part of my game today was chipping and dare I say it, putting. There were hints that my stroke is coming back. No bad misses. Pace was good all round. Sunk a couple over 20 feet and missed a couple others by very small margins.
