Humid, mid 80s. Played with Ben. Started well again, but got into trouble on 3. Hit it well right of red stakes, up on the hill. Found it, and chopped it out of deep crap with a 6 iron, but across the fairway all the way to the fence. Had no stance, so literally straddled the fence, with right leg laying across the top of it and got a hybrid on it. Moved it forward about 100 yards but still had 195 to the pin from the right rough. Hit a 3 hybrid from a hook lie in deep rough, and ended up a few yards off the back of the green. Chipped short with 60* and took 2 putts to get in for the first of two doubles on the front. The second double came on 8th after landing in bunker off tee then only moving it 50 or 60 yards forward getting out. Hit a good 3H from there, then hit PW into greenside bunker. Got a face full of sand getting out. Another 2 putt for 7. A disappointing 45 on the front. Played better on the back. Had three 3-putts after GIRs today, and had some leakage with the driver on 3, 4, 5 and 6. Figured it out and hit it fairly straight after that for the rest of the round. Sunk a 20 footer to save par on 11 after chunking my PW approach and leaving it well short. On 17, should have easily been on in regulation after a good drive and a pretty good 3H. Had 115 to pin, hit PW and came up short of green even though it didn't feel like I missed it. I may have not finished full though. Chipped to 6 ft, but missed par save putt by less than 1/2 an inch, short. Oh well, hopefully there are better rounds ahead.
