Played with Ben. Started out on the range hitting driver poorly. Still having this strong fade/slice issue. Could not clear it up before tee off. Put drive into trees on right on first. Saved it with a nice punch 6 iron through the trees to just in front of green, 15 yards from the pin. Nice chip up to 7 ft, but missed the putt. On 2nd, hit 4H off tee right at pin. Got it to about 10 ft from pin, but rolled back down the slope about 8 ft. Missed the birdie putt by an inch or two. Played 3rd okay, but missed approach just left with 5H. Rolled down side hill. Pitched up with 60* to about 20 ft. 2-putt. Then my front went south. Pulled drive on 4th into unplayable position. Then took penalty and drop. Then hit a wicked hook with 3H, but luckily it stayed in play. 60* wedge and 2-putt. On 5th, started to get act together. GIR, but then 3-putted. On 6th, put 52* to 7 ft. Missed birdie putt. 2nd missed makeable birdie. Trouble on 8 after landing in fairway bunker, 100 yards from pin. Tried to get there from a lie close to the lip with a PW, but hit the lip and barely got out. Hit 52* a little long, 2-putt for bogey. Beautiful pitch on 9th left me a foot and a half from hole for par. That started a run of pars and a bird. Played a great back nine. One of my best ever. Birdied 10, missed 11 foot putt for bird on 11 by an inch or two. Parred 12 with GIR, Missed short putt for bird on 13 by a few inches. On 14, missed ANOTHER 10 foot birdie putt by two inches. And on 17 again, missed an 8 ft birdie putt. More realistic putts for birdie today than I've ever had in one round. Really had a great back 9 with the exception of 16th where I had a good drive, but just caught the bunker on approach, then 3 putted. Had a long 40 yard putt on 18 for birdie, unrealistic to think of as birdie opportunity, but put it 2 inches from the hole for tap in par to end round.
