Mothers Day. Course was not busy, but there were sporadic groups throughout the course. So I jumped around to get in my 18 today. Started on 12 with a nice GIR and par with a first putt lag from 36 feet to 2 feet. Then on 13, GIR again, then a 37 foot putt to 1 foot for a tap in par again. It felt like this was gonna be a great day. However, my drive on 14 was actually very nice but had a bit of draw to it which caught the side hill and bounced left into the lateral hazard. Ha d to take a penalty and dropped where the ball was above my feet. Hit 3H, but again, drew it a little too much and it TOO found the hazard. Another penalty. When it was all said and done, I made 8. Then my game came right back with another par, but then doubled the par 3 16th. Had a bit of trouble on 17, but worked my way through it and carded a bogey. Played the front pretty well after that with the exception of the 5th and the 8th. Wasn't bad overall, but irons were a little off. Putter saved me a few times today. No 3-putts.
DougEly says:I knew I was making a lot of pars during the round, but I didn't realize how many until you mentioned it. Other than the penalties, it wasn't a bad day out there.
