Really nice round of golf. Met up with Keith for a good part of the round. Played from the blue tees since my driver swing seemed to be working okay on the range. Thought I shot 42 on the back, but I erred on my addition on the card. It was actually a 41. (Good thing my card wasn't signed for a tourney.) 41 on the back with 3 3-putts means I had a good back nine. Doubled 12, but came right back and birdied 13. Hit a bunch of GIRs and made a good percentage of up and downs. Took a penalty on 7 after putting second shot into the lateral hazard left. Then tried to punch draw a 6 iron around the trees to the green, but didn't get enough draw and ended up in the greenside bunker. Nice out to 4 ft. Made put to save double.On 8, had some trouble into the wind off the tee and ended up short left of the fwy bunker, in deep fescue rough. Hit a high 5W out, then another near-perfect 5W from the fairway to about 30 yards from the pin, which I chipped to 5 ft and made the putt to save par somehow. Only lost one ball (on 7) all round. All in all, was very happy with today's results.
