Spent a bunch of time on the range trying to figure out what is wrong with my drive. After 3 buckets and lots of discomfort in my left side, finally found something that was working so decided to try it out on course for nine. Actually played 13 total holes. Played 10, 11 and 1 again. Then for the hell of it, played 2 again, but this time from the black tees. It was 218 yards, into the wind. Bogied it.
Played the front nine quite well. Though my fairways hit doesn't look that good on my card, everything that missed, just missed. And hit all three fairways on the extra holes. No weak slices at all today. Put my Titleist D2 back in the bag for the round. The Callaway FT-iQ experiment didn't pan out. Hit some real nice approach shots into the wind, or into a side wind. Iron play was good overall. No bad shots to speak of, at all today. Wish I had time to play 18, but the course was backed up late today due to a 2 1/2 hour frost delay in the morning.
