Cool and breezy. Played with Keith and two young guys from Wee Burn CC. Wasn't a good start. Doubled first two holes. Started poorly on 3rd as well, but hit a PW approach to 3 feet to save par and it got me on a roll. Parred 5 in a row, before missing a par saving putt on 8 by an inch. Then doubled 9 after pulling my tee shot down into the land of the unknown. Pitched up with a 60* wedge, just to the top of the hill, but it rolled back down 20 feet. Finally got on and two putted. Didn't play the back too poorly, but not great either. Only two pars and a bunch of bogies. Doubled the 18th. Hit a tree limb on my approach, and luckily it landed in play 65 yds out. Hit 60* wedge, too long and left myself a 35 foot putt, of which I missed by a lot. Ended up with a 3-putt double. Just a so so round.
Played old Callaway driver to see if it might help my inconsistency off the tee of late. It did, a little. Distance was no better, but FH was. Gonna re-adjust Titleist to a similar loft and lie and see if it helps.
