Perfect evening. Played with Keith O. Went out about 4:15. Finished up about 7:15. Had some bad shots on the front and couldn't get driver working again. Popped up first drive, pushed one right on 3, finally hit a good one on 4, then hit one off the heel and dribbled it about 100 yards off the tee on 5. Couldn't get any putts to drop on the front either. Lipped 3 or 4, that could have saved an otherwise mediocre score on the front. Finally had two decent holes on 8 and 9. Then parred 10 and was feeling a little better, but then pulled a 5W tee shot left of the red stakes and into the hazard area. Found the ball but had no play so took the drop and penalty, then hit a nice 7i, but just a bit long and ended just off the back of the green. Chip broke hard and left me 6 ft from hole. Lipped it out again. Couldn't even save bogey. Finally, on 13 started a string of pars which saved the round. Not a particularly good day out there, but the perfect weather with no one in front or behind us made it enjoyable just the same.
DougEly says:I hope your feeling is right. I believe it might be if I can ever figure out what happened to the super consistent driving I had working for me last year. In any case, thanks for the encouragement.
