Windy again. Started on the 5th hole. Sliced driver on the first few holes. Can't figure it out, but I think it has something to do with my recent back problem. It got awfully sore again, though the rest of my ball striking was pretty straight all day. Had putter working well which saved me from a pretty poor round. Dropped a couple 10-20 footers and left it very close on 4 or 5 lags. No 3 putts. 29 putts for the round. Hit a 9 iron from 118 out to 4' on 3rd to save par. Popped up my drive a bit on 4th and still had 218 to the pin. Hit a 5W onto green 62 feet away from pin. Got down in two for par. Hit tree on big slice off tee on 5th and landed short and other side of cart path. Then hit a 3H to left of green, chipped to 4' and got down for 3 pars in a row. Sliced again and hit tree on 6th, then hit 8 iron to 27' and two-putt for 4 pars in a row. Parred the 9th as well for a pretty good front 9 despite struggling with driver. Birdied 11 after hitting 5W off tee to mid fairway, then 9 iron to 20ft. Great 1-putt. Highlight of the back nine. Sliced into hazard right of fairway on 18. Took penalty stroke, then topped hybrid about 100 yards. Then hit 7i into bunker thanks to wind. Came out, across and off green, then chipped back to 1 ft for a triple. Did not play the sand well at all today. Took me two to get out of trap on 16 for a double there. Score was pretty good today, but game was not as good.
