Good round overall, but didn't strike the ball as well as the score indicated. Some holes great, others just okay. Nice chip to 2' on the second hole to save par. Good putting round in general, helped keep the scores low. Had 4 or 5 lengthy 1-putts and missed a 16 footer on 9 by 2 inches and lipped a 10 footer on 1 and a fifteen footer on 6. Those go in and I shoot 82. Had a problem on 12. Drove it right well off the fairway, but inbounds behind a grouping of trees. It seemed like I might be able to pull off a Mickelson-at-Augusta shot and blast it out through the trees. I had a good angle, but the opening was only about 6 feet wide. Had a good strike of the ball from deep rough, but it hit one of the trees and ricocheted right, ob, into a house. Oops. Lady came out, but there was no damage. She kept my ball. (Only ball lost today.) Stroke and distance penalty resulted in triple bogey 7. Next hole, par 3, hit 7 iron to 3 1/2 feet. Best shot of the day. Right shoulder acting up by mid-round. Having trouble finishing swing in comfort. All in all, a good round.
