84 degrees and sunny. Was having trouble at first, on the range. Shanking ball after ball, low and right. Huh? Couldn't figure out what was going on. Finally got things under control, but still not sure what I was doing. In any case, no problems other than a slightly bad one on my approach on 2nd. Right into the water on right, but didn't send it there with a real bad shank. Just mis-struck it. Was still a little tight, playing this course for the first time. Took a while to settle down, but eventually started to feel good. Really liked the Bermuda fairways and never ended up in any real bad Bermuda rough. Everything was cut pretty short. Greens were sooo much easier to putt on than back home. Built confidence up. Even with two penalty strokes, had a decent score on the front. Had a bit tougher time on the back, but I'll give the overall round a B-. Really couldn't expect too much on an unfamiliar course. Hopefully tomorrow will be as good. Another new course on tap. Back very sore. New problem.
