Played a real quick round. Solo. 55-60 degrees. A little sun, mostly cloudy, and a couple small passing showers. Was not on my game today. Driver was off a touch. Mostly playable, but just not in as total control as I have been of late. Hernia on left side was kinda uncomfortable, so maybe that was affecting things. Was off on irons and wedges a bit too. Just a tick off, but enough to miss things I usually hit. Best save of day was on 7, after pulling drive left, was blocked from green by the woods. Saw a small opening above some shorter trees and through some larger ones and thought if I hit the opening at the right angle I could fly it to the green. Problem was, though, that the right club to reach the green was not the right loft to get through the opening. I had 7 iron in hand but was afraid I might not get it high enough to reach the opening. So, I took 8 iron for a little more loft, knowing if I hit it good I could reach a few yards in front of green. I hit it good. Left it 5 yards in front of green. Middle-back pin was 20 yards from ball. Chipitched a 52* to 3 feet and saved par. Another great chip was on 17. Hit 5i onto green, but it bounce through and off the back. Chipped it to 2 inches to save another par. Didn't have many today, but those two were sweet.
