70's, mostly sunny, little wind - at most 5 mph. Perfect
We started on #8
Fairways were soft and mud balls were common. Course play long. Greens were inconsistent. Most were pretty smooth and rolled quick. Several were very bumpy from winter damage that has still not fully healed.
I twisted my back or slept wrong and my torso was very stiff. Hard to take a proper stance (back angled, arms hanging down, etc ... Rough was pretty healthy and I picked up a penalty when I stepped on my ball while looking for it. Essentially all phases of the game were shakey and my back limited my already distance-challenged game. Lots of fairway wood approaches to small well-protected greens.
Lost $2 to the Little Irish Bastard. He canned several really long birdie putts while I was lipping out the few I had. Had to really work to tie the "second nine" by parring 5,6 & 7 to erase his lead. Scheduled a therapeutic massage for early next week as the back continues to be really stiff.
