Tour Newport Beach Oil Can

The Newport Beach putter for 1997 had a beautiful new finish that was termed ''oil can'' by Scotty’s Tour representative Larry Watson, when he compared the iridescent finish to a fine film of oil covering the putter. The oil can finish was meant to give the putter an elegant, classic look reminiscent of worn leather. Also unique to this putter is the slit in its sole sometimes referred to as a floating face. The slit gives the putter a distinctly different sound and feel.
