Introduced late in 2011, the Mashie irons feature a "Gliderail" sole designed to produce less turf-drag, a higher launch-angle, and more ball-speed. The Gliderail design is progressive, so the effect is less pronounced in the short irons and wedges. The extra offset is designed for maximum game improvement for higher-handicap players.
