Explosions, turret fire, and marching units create a constant sense of activity even during slower moments. As the ages progress, the battlefield sounds shift alongside the visuals. Primitive combat noises slowly give way to gunfire, mechanical weapons, and futuristic attacks. The audio is not cinematic, but it reinforces the feeling that civilization is advancing through different eras of warfare.
