This semi-private club allows public play after 12:00 p.m. PT except on Tuesdays, when the course is closed. The course is located in a luxury residential community overlooking the Sacramento Valley and is one of only seven courses co-designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr. In addition to the attractive views, the course also has large rock outcroppings bordering the playing corridors. Golf Digest magazine once ranked Winchester 13th out of some 3000 courses in the state of California.
