Greens were incredibly slow. Good layout. Great scenery. Maintenance seems to be an issue but the greens? Will never play again until I hear people saying they are at least a 9 on the stimp.

This is a scenic course with many beautiful trees. It's moderately tight and pretty hilly. There are a handful blind tee shots where you don't see the ball hit and land and a handful of uphill approach shots to the green where you don't see the ball hit and stop. The course doesn't LOOK overly tough, and the overall yardage won't suggest that, but the course has plenty of bite!
For the past few years, they've greatly improved the quality of the greens, the drainage on the fairways, and the sculpting of the bunkers. A few of the unnecessarily over penal fairway bunkers have been removed so place of play is getting better. Rough has been kept consistently down the last year so I think there is a definite push to make the course easier and faster to play.
Greens here are very tough. They have a lot of slope and undulation. 3 putts abound as no 2 footer is a gimme here. If you are a good putter here, my guess you can putt just about anywhere.
A nice perk to the layout is you can visit the snack shack easily up to 3 times and have one of their very tasty craft brews on tap during the round.
This is a moderately difficult walking course. I'd say 8 out of 10 golfers ride here. But the walk is pretty and the distances between green to next tee box is reasonable, so generally, you don't feel rushed as a walker.
More than most courses, I'd really suggest playing it forward here and enjoy the round. If you are having even a slight off day here, you won't sniff your handicap.

A good course with undulation which will have you hitting shots from above & below your feet. Moderate rough but brisk wind make this a changeable track which plays differently from day to day & morning to afternoon.
My only complaint is that for the green fees paid there is simply not enough sand in traps, some are merely dust & are quite useless.
There is also an annoying increase in course damage with players not replacing or sanding their divots, both on the tee boxes and fairways.
If you visit San Francisco this course is a must play. If you live here then the loyalty program is a no-brainer visit www.presidiogolf.com and see for yourself.
